If someone is working on a big project, they’ll likely cross the bridge. But for smaller projects, Coligny Hardware is still your go-to. They have a small plumbing section, a small electrical section, a small gardening section. They still have all the things the former location stocked, just in smaller quantities. There is a home section that includes kitchen items and home décor.
On the days when I am overwhelmed by traffic and tourists, the ever-recurring questions of where to go, what to do, and where to eat, I focus on my memories of a place that captured my heart 50 years ago and how grateful I am to be a part of it all. Gratitude is at the very core of these stories and the reason I tell them.
The first Decade of the Island’s Development
I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all involved – the RBC Heritage team, golfers, volunteers, concession workers, and fans. You make this event a standout showcase for our island and pave the way for a brighter future for all who call Hilton Head Island home.

The Town of Hilton Head Island regularly requests bids for a diverse range of services including project consulting, landscape maintenance, custodial work, catering, drone operations, engineering, road work, technology upgrades, and more.
As the foundation continues to grow, Hayward and her team will continue to prioritize education, research, conservation, and organizational sustainability.
