From fishing to crabbing to shrimping, Brooke loves any reason to be on a boat. Marinating in a golden sunset, watching frolicking dolphins, and spending time at a sandbar all bring a smile to her face. Her favorite stories to pitch and write take place on Lowcountry waterways.

Mahjong has become one of Brooke’s favorite pastimes. She recently bought a floating table for lots of Mahjong in the pool this summer!

Brooke’s husband has given her the nickname “Hilton Head’s hype gal.” She LOVES island life and is grateful to live in paradise. Being surrounded by the island’s natural beauty energizes Brooke and she enjoys sharing it with larger audiences through social media and her writing.

She loves a reason to have fun. From local festivals, to live music, to Mardi Gras parades in New Orleans, she also loves a reason to dress up for the occasion. She’s convinced that the secret to a full life is quality friends with lots of laughs.

Her family keeps her busy and her heart full. Being a mom challenges her math, taxi, and meal planning skills. Being married to a Hilton Head Rugby player keeps the washing machine going, a full social calendar, and a strong demand for ice packs. She’s also the family CFO, house manager, yard guy, calendar guru, and travel planner.
